Poulton Village Hall
is located in a converted Cotswold Stone Barn in the heart of the village. Donated to the village in 1932 by Major Mitchell, then owner of Poulton Priory, the Cotswold stone building blends beautifully into the village alongside other Cotswold houses and cottages. The village hall is the hub of the community and is used regularly by many village groups such as the Parish Council, regular film club, a monthly community event called ‘Books, Beverages and Bickies’, table tennis, fitness classes and painting groups.
The hall can be hired for regular village activities or one off events such as wedding receptions, quiz nights, annual dinners and private parties. Recently refurbished, it has a modern oil-fired central heating system, roof insulation and double-glazing to ensure comfort whatever the weather. The kitchen has also been upgraded and has all the modern kitchen facilities to cater for up to 80 people. The hall has a stage and screen at one end and is equipped with full sound, vision, broadband and wifi. A ‘Green Room’ for the use of actors is directly accessible from the stage. The Hall has alcohol, film, performing rights, live and recorded music licences. Ideally situated in Cricklade Street it is within easy distance of the village pub, church and sports ground, with free parking along the street and a small car park to the rear of the hall which allows for loading and unloading.
Hiring the Village Hall
The hall has a capacity for 80 people seated or 100 standing, with a stage and screen at one end. Anyone can hire the hall for their event with special rates for Poulton villagers.
HIRE CHARGES
£14.00/hour for commercial or one off hires (there is a 20% discount for regular bookings)
£11.00/hour for villagers
Additional optional costs:
£10.00 per hire for use of audio/visual equipment
£5.00 per hire for use of table tennis
Tables, chairs, crockery and glasses can be hired out to villagers for events away from the village hall, rates available on request.
