Poulton Cricket Club is a thriving, diverse cricket club with club sides playing League & Friendly Cricket at both Englands and in Ampney Crucis to cater for all ages and standards.

We have always welcomed anyone to be a part of our club whether as a player or merely to socialise and watch the cricket. For supporters, there are benches all around the outfield and the pavilion has a bar to get some refreshments on a hot day. In the current Covid-19 environment, there is no need to book so just come along. The quality of the drink may on occasion be better than the cricket!

We are fully aware of how lucky we are to play for Poulton and make the most of the wonderful facilities and setting. Many of us have been with the club for decades and the goal has always to be to improve where we play, investing in the facilities and have done this working with the full support of the Trust and many great villagers over the years.

Our 1st XI plays in Gloucestershire County League Division 1, the 2nd XI is in Division 7 of the same League and our 3rd XI is starting out in Division 2 of the District League. In addition, we have a Mid-Week T20 side, a senior Ladies Team playing in the Cotswold League, a Sunday team and several youth teams covering all ages from u8s up to the u19s. We run a safe environment for children and our objective is to provide a happy club to develop both ability and a love of the game, bringing youngsters through from orange ball cricket into the senior sides.

There are always games of some sort at one of the two grounds through the week and always at Englands on Saturdays. On the three days a year when the sun is shining and it is warm, there is no better place to enjoy a cold drink and watch some cricket. Please do come along! For some of us, the more witnesses there are to a rare 50 or five wicket haul, the better!
